Patina of Time: The Clay Art of Iguchi Daisuke

Incredible work. Had the chance to ask the artist questions about his process. The metallic quality of the finish is better in person.
Krasner and Pollock: Past Continuous

October 11, 2026

When seen as a pair, the works gain new meaning. An active conversation between two talents. History will be kind to the incredible work of Krasner. A stellar show from The Met.
Roberto Lugo: Alfarero del Barrio

The Infinite Artistry of Japanese Ceramics

October 9, 2026

I have visited this exhibit close to a dozen times since it opened. There was a set of painted bamboo plates that was the kind of subtle masterpiece one hopes for. The breadth of the show expresses vastly different approaches to making from the same material. This has easily been my favorite show of 2026. As for the impression it has left on me: it’s not thunder, it’s an earthquake.
