Meteor Showers

Peak dates come from the International Meteor Organization's list of major showers, timed by the sun's place along its yearly path. Each count is what one person could expect in the best hour of the peak night: the shower's ideal rate, cut down for how high its radiant climbs over Brooklyn, how much the Moon brightens the sky, and how many faint meteors city light hides. Brooklyn is taken as showing stars down to magnitude 4, a dark site down to 6.5.
