PinchPot is a personal studio journal for ceramic artists. We designed it to keep your data yours. This policy explains what PinchPot stores and how it is handled.
PinchPot does not have its own servers and does not collect your personal data. Everything you log stays on your device and in your own iCloud account. The developer cannot see your pieces, photos, notes, or any other content.
Your journal content. The pieces you log, including titles, clay bodies, glazes, techniques, kilns, firings, ratings, notes, photos, and voice memos.
Your profile. An optional display name and photo you add.
This content is saved locally on your device and synced across your own Apple devices using Apple's iCloud (CloudKit private database). It is stored under your Apple ID, governed by Apple's Privacy Policy. The developer of PinchPot has no access to it.
Camera. Used only to photograph pieces you add to the app.
Photo Library. Used only to attach photos you choose to your pieces.
Microphone Used only to record voice memos you attach to a piece.
Media captured this way is stored with your journal content (on device and in your iCloud). PinchPot does not upload it anywhere else.
PinchPot offers an optional “PinchPot Pro” subscription. Purchases and renewals are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. PinchPot does not receive or store your payment information. Subscription management is handled in your Apple account settings.
No analytics or usage tracking.
No advertising and no ad identifiers.
No third-party data sharing or selling.
No developer-operated servers that receive your content.
You can delete any piece or your profile at any time within the app. Deleting the app removes its local data; iCloud-synced data is managed through your Apple ID settings.
PinchPot is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect data from anyone.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a revised date.
